What happened to the boy behind the golden mask?

The children will learn about the discovery of Tutankhanum’s tomb by Howard Carter and explore aspects of Ancient Egyptian life such as mummification, beliefs of the afterlife and the hierarchy of Ancient Egyptian civilisation.

Art

Ancient Egypt- the children will experiment with textures and effects to create an Egyptian headdress and will create a sculpture of a sarcophagus.

Music

Egyptians – based on the theme of Ancient Egypt, the children will learn to identify the pitch and rhythm of written notes experiment with notating their composition.

Sikhism – Are Sikh stories important today?

The children will learn all about the Sikh holy book, the Guru Granth Sahib, and the special stories contained in it. 

PSHE

Safety and the changing Body – the children will explore the emotional and physical changes of puberty, learn about online safety, influence, strategies to overcome potential dangers and how to administer first aid to someone who is bleeding.
