This could save a life Cardiac arrests can happen anywhere, to anyone and knowing CPR or how to use a defibrillator can make all the difference before paramedics arrive. Please come along to this CPR and Defibrillator Awareness Session, organised with the support of the Morley Defib Appeal. You don't need any medical background - just an hour and a half of your time to learn skills that could save a friend, a family member, or a stranger. This is a community event, and everyone is welcome - not just members of our school community. Refreshments will be provided. The more people who know, the safer our community becomes. If you can attend, please do - and feel free to share this post to help spread the word. North West Ambulance Charity

Our Year 2 and Year 6 children have been learning about the Windrush in their classes and today have shared their books with one another, it has been so lovely listening to their conversations!
In the Spring of 2018, the Department for Education (DfE) identified and invited 924 schools that met a number of eligibility criteria to apply to become an accredited English Hub as part of a new national initiative to drive up standards in literacy. In the Autumn of 2018, following a competitive application and selection process, the DfE announced that 34 schools across England had been identified to take on this role.
Orgill Primary School is very proud to be one of those Hub schools and we are excited by the opportunities that this offers to schools in Cumbria and wider areas.
