💛 WEAR YELLOW FOR SPINA BIFIDA AWARENESS WEEK 💛 Next week is Spina Bifida Awareness Week, a cause that holds a very special place in our hearts here at Orgill. On Friday 23rd October, we're inviting all our children to come to school dressed in yellow to raise awareness and show their support. For our Orgill family, this week is particularly meaningful as we remember our beautiful Ivy, who will always be a part of our school community. 💛 By wearing yellow, we hope to raise awareness, celebrate differences and spread a little extra love and kindness in Ivy's memory. Once part of the Orgill family, always part of the Orgill family. 💛

A HUGE thank you to NP Inclusive Sport for joining our KS2 children for wheelchair rugby today! We were never in any doubt about just how competitive our children are, but they certainly proved it today! There was plenty of enthusiasm, determination and competitive spirit on show, everyone had a fantastic time!

In the Spring of 2018, the Department for Education (DfE) identified and invited 924 schools that met a number of eligibility criteria to apply to become an accredited English Hub as part of a new national initiative to drive up standards in literacy. In the Autumn of 2018, following a competitive application and selection process, the DfE announced that 34 schools across England had been identified to take on this role.
Orgill Primary School is very proud to be one of those Hub schools and we are excited by the opportunities that this offers to schools in Cumbria and wider areas.
