Good luck to all the children starting their SATs this week Remember - these tests do not measure how kind, creative, funny, thoughtful or amazing you are. They are just one small moment in your journey. Be proud of yourselves for all the hard work you've put in already. Take a deep breath, do your best, and believe in yourselves - that's more than enough A big shoutout as well to the teachers, school staff and parents supporting them every step of the way. You've got this!

We've seen some fantastic hurdlers and javelin throwers today at after-school athletics club! Cumbria Community Development Team
In the Spring of 2018, the Department for Education (DfE) identified and invited 924 schools that met a number of eligibility criteria to apply to become an accredited English Hub as part of a new national initiative to drive up standards in literacy. In the Autumn of 2018, following a competitive application and selection process, the DfE announced that 34 schools across England had been identified to take on this role.
Orgill Primary School is very proud to be one of those Hub schools and we are excited by the opportunities that this offers to schools in Cumbria and wider areas.
