Can you help us grow the support for The Ivy Project? In loving memory of our very own Ivy Milton, our school community came together to raise funds for cuddle cots and blankets. The kindness, generosity and compassion shown by families, staff and friends was truly overwhelming. Now, Ivy's parents are taking the next incredibly brave step and are in the process of setting up The Ivy Project as a registered charity, so they can continue the amazing work they have already begun - supporting other families during the most difficult of times. We would love your help to grow awareness and support for The Ivy Project as it moves forward. Every share, like and message of encouragement means so much Thank you for continuing to show what a caring and supportive community we are. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61587657086819

Amazing effort, this week! Well done, everyone!
In the Spring of 2018, the Department for Education (DfE) identified and invited 924 schools that met a number of eligibility criteria to apply to become an accredited English Hub as part of a new national initiative to drive up standards in literacy. In the Autumn of 2018, following a competitive application and selection process, the DfE announced that 34 schools across England had been identified to take on this role.
Orgill Primary School is very proud to be one of those Hub schools and we are excited by the opportunities that this offers to schools in Cumbria and wider areas.
