We are proud to have been designated as a National English Hub, taking a leading role in strengthening early language, reading and writing across our region.

Our work extends beyond systematic synthetic phonics to include reading fluency, Reception writing development, and supporting high-quality reading provision into Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.

We work in partnership with schools across Cumberland, Westmorland and parts of Lancashire to ensure every pupil develops the knowledge, confidence and fluency needed to thrive as a reader and writer.
