Use of Social Media

At Orgill Primary School we seek to share information and communicate with parents in a number of ways including:

• Parents' evenings
• Informal meetings
• Newsletters
• Emails
• Text messages
• School website
• Parent workshops
• Parent learning walks
• Social media

We recognise that the use of social media is an efficient and effective means of communication and we wish to take full advantage of this. 

We welcome anyone who is interested in the life of our school to connect with us on the various social media sites that we use.  At the moment this includes Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

We believe that the use of such sites enables us to communicate more effectively and keep parents and carers up to date.  However, safety is extremely important to us and we expect all users to follow the guidelines that we have set for appropriate use.  We monitor these sites on a daily basis and will remove anyone who we feel breaches our guidelines.  For more information please read our Appropriate Use of Social Media Policy.
