Additional childcare facilities

Wraparound

We are able to offer extra sessions for children who are pupils in our nursery.  These are additional to the free sessions that they are entitled to and there is a small charge.

Our nursery children attend either a morning or an afternoon session. Wraparound offers the opportunity to add a lunchtime session and/or the second daily session. This means that your child could attend for a full day or their normal session plus lunch.

The additional sessions take place within the Early Years unit with the same staff so children will see no change to their routine.  At lunchtime they are cared for by a designated wraparound lunch assistant and member of our Early Years staff. The lunchtime session is an excellent social opportunity for the children. When eating the children are encouraged to talk with the adults and their peers, use their cutlery appropriately and practise good manners.

Further details can be found in the parent leaflet.

If you are not entitled to 30 hours free childcare, you are still able to book additional wraparound sessions with the following charges:

£9 per morning or afternoon session

£3 per lunchtime session including a hot meal

We offer a sibling discount if you have another child in Orgill Primary School:

£7 per morning or afternoon session

£3 per lunchtime session including a hot meal

If you would like any more information about payment of fees, please take a look at the policy which will be displayed in the Early Years cloakroom.

Breakfast club

A daily breakfast club is offered for children who are three years and older. This club runs from 8am every day and costs £2 per session. These sessions need to be booked using our School Gateway app.

Children have a choice of healthy foods and access to a range of different activities.

After school clubs

Orgill offers a range of different after school clubs throughout the year. Some examples include: choir, gymnastics, football and art and craft clubs. These clubs are available to children in reception. Parents will be informed of any available clubs at the beginning of each term.

Buddies holiday club

Our Buddies holiday club provides a valuable service for both working parents and those who just want to keep their children busy during the school holidays. Our dedicated staff work hard to plan these additional sessions which are always themed. Some examples of our themed days are Pirate Buddies, Hero and Villains Buddies and Great Orgill Bake Off Buddies. We have also had a forest themed day held at our local forest school site.

These sessions need to be booked in advance and run from 8:30 until 4:30. Dates for our Buddies holiday club can be found on the school website. For a booking form, please contact school.
